From the North: Take Rt. 7 or 7A South to Rt. 9 (Main Street) in Bennington. Make a left at the traffic light onto Main Street. Go one block and make another left on School Street. At the next intersection, Pleasant Street, make a right and find a parking space in the large municipal parking lot. Park in the municipal parking lot behind the Masonic Lodge. Walk to the north side of the lodge to find the entrance to the VIT studio. It is downstairs.

From the South: Take Rt. 7 North to Rt. 9 (Main Street) in Bennington. Make a right at the traffic light onto Main Street. Go one block and make another left on School Street. From the East: Take Rt. 9 West to Bennington. In Bennington Route 9 becomes Main Street. Look for 504 on the right, it will be the Mt. Anthony Masonic Lodge #13. Turn right at the Bank North drive through. Bypass the drive up windows and park in the municipal parking lot behind the Masonic Lodge. Walk to the north side of the lodge to find the entrance to the VIT studio. It is downstairs.

From the West: Take Rt. 9 East Bennington. In Bennington Route 9 becomes Main Street. Go one block past the traffic light at the intersection of Route 7 and turn left onto School Street. At the next intersection, Pleasant Street, make a right and find a parking space in the large municipal parking lot. Park in the municipal parking lot behind the Masonic Lodge. Travel I-91 to Exit 1. From the North, turn Left off the ramp and from the South, turn Right off the ramp. At the first set of lights, turn Right onto Fairground Road. We are located at the Brattleboro Union High School at 131 Fairground Rd room 125. Please park in the front parking lot. You must sign in at the front door during the school day. Go right through the main doorway, down the hall, then turn left. The studio is the second door on the right. After 4pm please use the Atwood St entrance. go straight through the doors the studio is the second door on the right.

Points East: Take I-93 North to I-89 North. Take exit 1, Rt. 4 West to Rutland. Follow Rt. 4 (approximately 55 miles on secondary road) to exit 5, Castleton. Follow signs to campus.

Points West: Take NY State Thruway -- I-87 to the Northway. Follow to exit 20, Rt. 149. Follow Rt. 149 East to Rt. 4 North, to Rt. 4 East. Follow Rt. 4 East until exit 4, Castleton. Take Rt. 30 South, then turn left on Rt. 4A East to campus.

Points South: Take I-91 North to exit 6 (Rt. 103). Follow Rt. 103 North to Rt. 7 North. Take Rt. 4 West to exit 5, Castleton. Follow signs to campus.

Points North: From the Burlington area -- take Rt. 7 South to Rt. 30 West to Castleton Corners. Turn left onto RT. 4A East. Follow signs to campus. From the St. Johnsbury area -- take I-91 South to I-89 North to exit 1, Rt. 4 West. Follow approximately 55 miles to exit 5, Castleton. Follow signs to campus.

1. Enter the town of Johnson on Route 15.
2. Turn on Pearl Street (this is a left turn when heading east, right when heading west).
3. Continue across the Gibon River. Bear left at the fork in the road.
4. Follow this road for approximately 1/2 mile. A sign for Johnson State College will be on the right. Turn right here. Follow the signs to the Visual Arts Center. The VAC Open Parking lot is in front of the Visual Arts Center.
5. Walk on the blacktop pathway located to the left of the Visual Arts Center. Bear right at the fork (continue walking behind the athletic fields). Bear left at the corner of Carter gym. Bear right towards Dibden Center. You will see Bentley Hall on the right (past the glass walkway). Turn right toward Bentley Hall (walkway between buildings). Enter the doors on the right. The Studio is located on the left, room 211 (Guttman Lecture Hall).

HANDICAPPED & AFTER HOURS PARKING: Handicapped parking is available at all times, directly in front of the studio. Follow the signs to Bentley hall/parking. Parking is also open to everyone in this lot AFTER 5:00 PM.

FROM THE SOUTH Take I-91 North to exit 23. At the end of the exit ramp turn right and then take the immediate first left onto the Back Center Road. Travel 1.5 miles to a stop sign. Go ahead one block and turn left onto College St. just before the Football Field.*SEE MAIN DIRECTIONS*

FROM THE NORTH
Take I-91 to exit 24. At the end of the exit ramp turn left onto Rte. 122. Proceed 1.5 miles until you see a wooden covered bridge on your right. Go over the bridge and proceed until you see a football field on your right. Turn right onto College St.*SEE MAIN DIRECTIONS*

FROM ROUTE 5
Go to the junction of Rte 5 and 114. If coming from the south turn left at the blinker - if coming from the north turn right at the blinker by - the Lynburke Motel onto Stevens Loop Rd. Go 5/10s of a mile to the stop sign. Turn left and go over the wooden one lane bridge. Proceed until you see the football field on the right. Turn right onto College St.*SEE MAIN DIRECTIONS*

FROM ROUTE 114
At the intersection of Rte 5 and 114, proceed across Rte. 5 at the blinker by the Lynburke Motel. You will be on Stevens Loop Road. Travel 5/10's of a mile to the stop sign. Turn left and go over the one lane wooden bridge. Proceed until you see a football field on your right. Turn right onto College Street. *SEE MAIN DIRECTIONS*

*MAIN DIRECTIONS FROM COLLEGE STREET*
Drive past Lyndon Institute up the long hill. Drive past the first sign for Lyndon State College. At the second sign for Lyndon State College turn left as indicated on the sign as if you were going to the Rescue Squad. Follow this road until you see a parking lot on the right. Park in the lot and proceed to the ground level entrance of Vail Center ( red brick building). The VIT studio is located in the middle of the long hallway on your right. If the lot is full, you may turn right at the end of the parking lot and park in the larger lot in front of Vail Center. If you park in the main parking lot in front of Vail Center, enter through the main door marked "Theodore N. Vail Center" Walk in and take the elevator which is located on the right. Press the 1st floor button. At the first floor proceed down the ramp and the VIT studio will be located on your left.

HANDICAP PARKING
Handicap parking is available in the main parking lot directly in front of the Theodore N. Vail Center. From the parking lot proceed to the main entrance and the elevator will be located on your right. Take the elevator to the first floor and proceed down the ramp. The VIT studio will be located on your left.

From the North - Take Route 7 South into town. Staying on Route 7, travel counterclockwise around the Green (Middlebury Inn is opposite on your left). As the Route 7 turns right at the corner of the green, continue on Route 7 South (Court Street) to the third traffic light and turn right. This is Charles Avenue (but it may not be signed). A school complex appears ahead. Turn left into the first parking lot. The VIT site is in the "Patricia Hannaford Career Center," the brick building to your left as you face the building complex.. The studio is on the second floor in Room 206.

From the South - Take Route 7 North into town. Turn left at the second traffic light. This is Charles Avenue (but it may not be signed). A school complex appears ahead. Turn left into the first parking lot. The VIT site is in the "Patricia Hannaford Career Center," the brick building to your left as you face the building complex.. The studio is on the second floor in Room 206.

Coming from either the north or south on Interstate 89: Get off at exit 8 (the Montpelier exit). The end of the exit ramp will automatically put you on Memorial Dr. Travel approximately .05 miles. After the traffic light take the next left on Green Mountain Drive.See the large gray Department of Labor building. Make right at first driveway. Park in the rear parking lot. Entrance is on the ground level facing the rear parking lot.

From the South on I-91- Take Exit 27. Turn right at the end of the exit ramp onto the I-91 access road. Take the access road to the second stoplight. Turn right at the stoplight. Proceed through the next stoplight and turn left to pass under the train trestle. Turn right after the train trestle and go up the hill to North Country Union High School.

From Central Vermont - Take Route 14 North to Coventry where it will join with Route 5. Continue on Route 5 until it meets Route 105. Make a right onto Route 105, which is also known as Pleasant Street. Go down Pleasant Street to the stop sign and turn left on Third Street. Proceed to stop sign. Turn right at stop sign onto Main Street and bear left over the bridge (the lake is on the left.) Continue through three traffic lights. Turn left after the third traffic light turn left under the train trestle. Turn right after the train trestle and go up the hill to North Country Union High School.

From Northwestern Vermont - Take Rt. 100 North to Rt. 105 East. (Rt. 105 is Pleasant St. in Newport.) Proceed on Pleasant Street to the stop sign at the corner of Third Street. Make a left at the stop sign. Turn right onto Main Street by the Mini-Mart. Continue to the end of Main Street and bear left over the bridge (the lake is to your left.) Proceed through three traffic lights. Turn left just past the second stoplight and go under the train trestle. Turn right immediately after the train trestle and go up the hill to North Country UHS.

Park wherever you can find a non-restricted parking space.

Enter the High School through the Main Entrance in front of the building. Turn right at the first corridor and follow the directional signs to the VIT studio, located in the Career Center, second floor.

From the North or South - Take I-89 to Exit 4. Turn at the end of exit ramp. Right from the South or Left from the North. Proceed up the hill. At the crest of the hill, stay right and the Vermont Technical College campus will be on your left. Take the second driveway on the left. If there is no parking available there, ample parking is available at various other areas. The VIT Studio is located in Morrill Hall on your right as you enter.

From the North - Take Route 7 South to Rutland. Turn left at stoplight onto Woodstock Avenue, Route 4 East. Turn right at stoplight onto Stratton Road. Note: McDonald's is on the left. Take first left into Rutland High School and Stafford Technical Center complex.

From the East - Take Route 4 West to Rutland. Turn left at light on Stratton Road. Take next left into the Rutland High School and Stafford Technical Center complex.

From the South - Take Route 7 North to Rutland. Turn right at stop light onto Woodstock Avenue, Route 4 East. (Route 4 East separates from Route 7 North.). Turn right at stop light onto Stratton Rd. Take first left into the Rutland High School and Stafford Technical Center complex.

From the West - Take Route 4 East to Rutland. Turn left onto Rt. 4 East and 7 North. Turn right at stop light onto Woodstock Ave., Route 4 East. Turn right at light onto Stratton Rd.. Take first left into the Rutland High School and Stafford Technical Center complex.

Once you have entered the complex - Make the very first left in the complex and go the parking area in front of the Stafford Technical Center. The studio is on the second floor in Room 222.

Note: Please disregard the High School complex signs directing VIT participants to park behind the high school, as the doors are locked after 8 am.

From I-91 Take Exit 7 from I-91 either north or south and turn right off the exit ramp to Route 11 West. Follow Route 11 West approximately 3 miles to the first major intersection. There is a blinking light at about 2 ? miles; continue to the next set of lights. At that intersection, make a left turn (South Street) with Valley Real Estate on your left. Approximately ? mile from the intersection, at the top of the hill, use caution as visibility is limited and continue another ? mile or so. Springfield High School, The Howard Dean Education Center and the River Valley Technical Center are on your right.
From Vermont Route 7: (North) Take Route 103 East from North Clarendon. Go through Ludlow and at the center of Gassetts, turn left onto Route 10. Take Route 10 to North Springfield. Route 10 ends and continue straight onto Route 106 East/South. Continue on Route 106 to the Springfield Shopping Plaza (on your right) where the road becomes Route 11 East. Stay on Route 11 through two sets of lights which will bring you through the center of town. After you cross the bridge, keep right, (the Whitcomb Highrise will be on your right and Valley Real Estate on your left) continue straight up the hill. Approximately ? mile from the intersection, at the top of the hill, use caution as visibility is limited continue another ? mile or so. Springfield High School, The Howard Dean Education Center and the River Valley Technical Center are on your right.

From Route 11 (Chester) Take Route 11 from 103 in Chester. As you come into Springfield, turn right on to Park Street. This is also the turn for Springfield Hospital, which will be on your right as you proceed up the hill. Continue on Park Street until you come to Union Street on your right. There will be a small island at the intersection. Continue to the end of Union Street. It will meet South Street. Turn right and continue another ? mile or so. Springfield High School, The Howard Dean Education Center and the River Valley Technical Center are on your right
Follow the signs for parking to the bottom lot. There are handicap spots near the front entrance. Once in the main entrance follow the signs to the second floor where VIT is located.

From the South - on I-89 - Take Exit 19. At the end of the ramp, go straight. Turn right at the "T" intersection onto South Main St. Proceed north on Main St (Rt 7) through the first light. You will see the main B.F.A. building on your right. Immediately past the main building is a white garage (Miller's Service Station). Turn right at Ferris street immediately after Miller's. The parking lot will be on your right. Parking spaces # 88 through # 91 are reserved for VIT participants.

From the North - on I-89 - Take Exit 20. Turn right at the end of the exit ramp. At the "T" intersection, turn left. Continue south on Main Street (Rt 7) through 5 traffic lights (the last light is a double set). Turn left on Ferris Street (across from the Post Office, immediately before Miller's Service Station). The parking lot will be on your right. Parking spaces # 88 through # 91 are reserved for VIT participants.

VIT Entrance/Parking: The entrance is marked by a circular VIT sign, located in the North Building (old St. Albans hospital) across from the parking lot entrance. Turn right as you enter the hallway. The entrance to the VIT studio is the second door on the left after the elevators.

VIT Parking is restricted to the parking spaces numbered 88 through 91 during the weekday school hours (7:30 AM to 2:30 PM). Please do not park in other numbered spaces (visitor spots are OK) during this time period. Please park off campus during the school hours if spaces 88 through 91 are being used by other VIT patrons. You may park in any space that is free during non-school hours and on weekends. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your compliance.

From the north and the South -Take I-89 to exit 10. Turn right at exit ramp if coming from the North. Take left at end of exit ramp if coming from the South. Go to the "T" and turn left. Travel through the village to the second stop light at Park Street. Turn right. This is the North Entrance to the State Office Complex. The first brick building on the left is Stanley Hall. Turn left into the parking lot. Enter through the main entrance off the parking lot.

From Route 2 east - Take Route 2 into Waterbury. Go to the stoplight at Park Street. (This is the North Entrance to the State Office Complex.) Stanley Hall is the first brick building on the left. Turn Left into the parkinglot. The Main Entrance is off the parking lot.

The VIT Studio is at the near end of the building.
